overview
Sea freight consolidation is how small-medium businesses import internationally. But most brokers wait for cargo to arrive before starting customs paperwork. Result: 65+ days clearing customs.
Trevart starts differently. You send your commercial invoice. We review it for accuracy, verify HS codes, calculate duties, book space with shipping lines. Once approved, your cargo is consolidated and shipped. While it travels (20-25 days), we complete 80% of KRA paperwork and pre-book inspections.
By the time cargo arrives at Mombasa, we're 80% done. Pre-booked inspection happens (2-4 hours). Cleared same day. Delivered Nairobi 2-3 days, regional 3-5 days.
Timeline: 32-35 days total (vs. industry 65+).

How We Plan Operations
HOW IT WORKS
You provide proforma or commercial invoice. We review for accuracy: product codes, HS codes, declared values, origin. We verify HS commodity classification (gets the duty calculation right). We calculate landed cost: freight + duties + handling + our fee. We confirm shipping line capacity for your cargo type and reserve consolidation space.
Once you approve the quote, booking is locked with the shipping line. This front-end planning prevents delays downstream. We don't guess—we verify.
How We Execute Services
CONSOLIDATION & SHIPPING COORDINATION
Cargo collected from your facility. Transported to consolidation facility in origin port. Stored securely (temperature-controlled if needed). Consolidated with other Kenya/East Africa cargo. Loaded onto vessel.
Typical sailing: 20-25 days (depends on route: China→Kenya vs. India→Kenya differ). Real-time tracking provided—you see vessel position, ETA updates. Cargo monitored throughout voyage.
At Mombasa: Cargo discharged from vessel, warehoused pending customs. Pre-booked inspection scheduled. Light inspection typically 2-4 hours (paperwork is already complete—no errors to discover). Cargo cleared and released same day.
How We Deliver Results
REAL-TIME TRACKING & FINAL DELIVERY
You know where cargo is always. Consolidation status (collected, at facility, loaded, shipped). Vessel tracking (real-time position, ETA). Port arrival (in warehouse, inspection scheduled). Clearance status (paperwork complete, inspection done, cleared). Truck dispatch (inland truck assigned, departure time, ETA to location).
Nairobi delivery: 2-3 days from port clearance. Regional (Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda): 3-5 days.
Differentiator: Pre-clearance + 15-year KRA inspector relationships. We don't queue—we pre-book. Inspectors know us and prioritize our scheduled appointments.
